Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt able to express about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he cannot recall "any day without mirth".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to block the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a restriction on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a public database citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

Following the tragedy, public figures expressed varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his show, Rogan characterized the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by remarking that an adviser could have acted when the choice to weigh in on the death was made.
