Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down following standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This event isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.

Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was required to return to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
